Description: The Communications Team has just recently become a team. It began as one person who was in charge of the email listserv only. As of October 2008, communications now consists of a team leader and an assistant who will be in charge of all aspects of communication: email, Web sites, blog, posters, flyers, ministry fair – all the ways to get the word out about Encounter or keep Encounter connected.

This team serves the greater membership by providing the vehicles necessary to interact and stay in touch. To the surrounding area, this team will present Encounter Young Adult Ministry as a community where they can have a sense of belonging, grow in their relationship with God, and serve others.

The Communications team is responsible for the promotion of Encounter Young Adult Ministry and the marketing of it to the Andrews campus and surrounding area. Vehicles for communication include: email, Web sites, blog, posters, flyers, displays, ministry fair.

Ways you can be involved: Anyone who is interested in PR, marketing, Web site maintenance, or graphic design is welcome to join us - really, anyone who wants to assist in telling the world about Encounter and what it has to offer. You could help with creating and distributing flyers/posters; updating our Web sites; representing Encounter at the ministry fair; maintaining our blog; and connecting with free avenues of advertisement.
